Support Worker - Children, Doncaster

We are looking for an experienced Support Worker to support children aged 12-16yrs in a residential environment.

You would need experience and skill with engaging children with challenging behaviours, teaching them independent life skills in preparation for adulthood. You would be providing emotional support, helping them with their access to the community and engendering healthy values to give them confidence in their place in the world.

Essential Requirements:

MINIMUM 6 months UK experience in a care setting with Children/Young Adults with challenging behaviours.

Knowledge of current legislation for Children's Homes.

A compassionate and empathetic understanding of attachment and trauma in relation to young people.

Full Child & Adult Enhanced DBS.

All mandatory care training certificates (dated within the last 12 months).

All required identification documents as per CQC regulations

Children's safeguarding certificate.

Children & Adult First Aid (practical training).
